Each of the 4 Wedding Seasons have a natural color scheme...For example Fall weddings will typically be decorated in 'fall colors' such as yellows and oranges and reds. Some brides refuse to abide by the seasonal color schemes and choose their favorite colors. It is important to get the feed back of a professional designer/florist on what types of colors my match both, the season, and the atmosphere you wish to set for your guests.
Color schemes will always play a big role in mood setting, so feel free to tell your photographer to capture those details while covering your Wedding Day!

Dc Engagement Photo Shoot

I was lucky enough to work with this lovely couple earlier today here in DC for their Engagement Photo Shoot. The Weather held out for us and we managed to take some beautiful portraits! These two were so great to work with! Such naturals! And it just goes to show why location is so important...when you feel relaxed, your portraits look great!
I have always favored DC Photo Shoots! It never ceases to amaze me how much beauty lies with in our Nation's Capitol!

Having Fun Photographing Brides

I have always been a big fan of having fun while working! I like to give images that exceed your typical portrait expectations. This lovely bride was open to artistic ideas. I had so much fun working with her today!! She was able to receive a little bit of direction from me (as the photographer) with ease, and really helped me make the most of the day! A special Thank you to this bride for having such a wonderful attitude, and for being so great to work with!!

The Yummy Part Of The Business

I have always been guilty of having a sweet tooth, so when it comes to Wedding Photography, one of the sweetest subjects of the day for me happens to be the Wedding Cake :o)
The Bride and Groom usually take extra special care when designing their Cake for themselves and their guests. The flavors, color scheme, accessories and topper are all thought out to fit into the grand scheme of things...I feel it important to take my time and capture the essence of each cake as a subject all to itself.

This is a fun enhancement to a photograph when done right...sometimes it is nice to apply a color conversion to a less traditional type of shot. I always enjoy working in DC, especially Georgetown :o)

Tips For Great Sweetheart Portraits

To take stunning portraits, one has to remember that the lense never lies...
If you are having a good time and are willing to take some direction from your photographer you are off to a good start! The most important thing to remember is to act natural! If you are 'stiff' or unsure how to pose, your portraits will suffer. Stand close to each other, whisper "I Love You" to one another, tell her how important she is to you, then find your photographer's lense...this will ensure the presence of body language in your portrait.
